The biggest risk to this series is not plot. It is the moment a character starts explaining the theme out loud while nothing is at stake.

Balance

Philosophy inside thriller structure

No character explains the theme. Themes are argued only by people who want opposite physical outcomes in the same scene.
Every philosophical beat is attached to a ticking clock or a body.
One abstract exchange per chapter, maximum, and it gets interrupted.
Teddy is the theme's mouthpiece, and he is allowed to be petty, wrong, and personal. That keeps it drama instead of essay.
Per book: roughly 70 percent forward motion, 20 percent consequence and aftermath, 10 percent argument.
If a passage could be moved to a different book without breaking anything, it is an essay. Cut it.
Atlas never gets the last word in a debate. Something physical interrupts it.
